Oscars 2014

...sorry about the lack of posts the past couple of months been busy busy busy sorting and finalising my final collection...but after seeing the dresses of last night's Oscars, it would be rude not to do a post about them...

...THE OSCARS...

...so last night the red carpet was out again for the event everyones been waiting for...THE OSCARS... ...and when everyone isn't talking about how Leonardo DiCaprio missed out on yet another well deserved Oscar...the dresses are hot on everyones lips...

...here are a few of my favourites from last night...

the girl who's hot topic for everyone at the moment... Lupita Nyongo

...Lupita has been one of the best dressed celebs throughout this year's award season...the Oscars was no exception! Lupita wore a custom made dress by Prada in a gorgeous duck egg pastel blue...the dress was a beautiful deep plunge pleated number, finished off with decorative beading...with no detail being lost on the back...the low cut arm hole was one of my favourite details with this dress...showing an unusual but flattering cut...she looked beautiful and styled it so well with just a simple headband and decorative stud earrings...a real life disney princess...

another girl who everyone is begging to be their best friend at the moment... Jennifer Lawrence

...Jennifer is another one who has been up there with the best dressed this season...opted for a simple but striking look by Christian Dior Couture...the dress itself was a simple cute peplum dress, but by being in a vibrant orange colour made it modern and chic, providing an effortless look...Jennifer always knows how to style her outfits...this one being no exception! The backwards necklace...slowly becoming an iconic piece of hers (just like her famous falls) was the perfect choice of accessory sitting perfectly on her exposed back...by styling her short hair in a rough scrapped back look, she brought an edgyness to her extremely ladylike look...

everyone's favourite... Emma Watson

...Emma always looks stunning in whatever she wears...last night she opted for a Vera Wang design which was dark and edgy but chic as always...the dress was a two tone look with a silver bodice to a black skirt all in shimmery material...this was a very flattering dress on Emma with its cinched in waist and fishtail skirt...for me this look was completely made by the way Emma had styled herself...the messed up pony tail she opted for with a deep red lip all the way down to the stacked rings just made this outfit for me...

and last but not least, my favourite from the whole night... Kate Hudson

...In my opinion Kate Hudson blew everyone out of the water last night with her dress by Versace...the ivory colour teamed with the unusual shape of the figure hugging deep plunge neckline as well as the draped cape falling off the shoulders down her back, was just a beautiful design...the satin material fell beautifully and the added beading and ruching of the fabric were amazing choices of intricate details...by teaming the dress with a smokey eye and a loose wave, she gave the end look a look of
elegance and a deserving place on the best dressed list...
